The Emmaus Barn

Emmaus Horsemanship has been offering equine-assisted activities since September of 2006. It began with a small group of five children that included those with special needs. We met each week to develop social and riding skills within a Christian perspective. At the same time, Emmaus Horsemanship obtained an Equine-Facilitated Learning internship through the Psychology Department at Penn State University for a dear friend.  We continue to grow and learn about equine-assisted philosophy and have certifications from OK Corral and the Equine Experiential Education Association to practice Equine-Assisted Learning. We maintain the emphasis to include people of all ages and abilities at our facility. And, we continue in our endeavor to share and present a Christian perspective. As our name implies from biblical scripture (Luke 24:13-35), we can "metaphorically" walk along the road in fellowship and  faith to rejoice in our new discoveries and accomplishments!

A bathroom is available in the stable for Boarders and guests. A Boarding Contract is reviewed and signed prior to the first month's board.  Current board for 2021-2022 is $375.
